Felix's somewhat confused reaction tugged at the corners of Wolf's already existing smile, but what really made it widen was the question about his name. It was almost more rare for him not to be questioned about his unique name, so it was an understatement to say Wolf got that a lot, but the way Felix had said it, the look on his face as he giggled, was a real treat. Most times Wolf was perfectly happy being deaf, but other times, like currently, he wished he could hear how everything sounded.
"Yeah, just like the animal," he answered. "You know wolves are the largest wild member of the Canidae family?" Thank you Wikipedia. "You might like to know they don't eat cats." Wolf could only hope Felix's parents hadn’t named him after the cartoon cat.
"What are you doing here? Checking out the seedy underbelly of college life as I suggested?" Wolf wondered if Felix knew he'd been flirting with him throughout that whole journal comment conversation, but Wolf had flirted with many a straight guy before and usually they didn't notice. If Felix was as homophobic as Mao had implied, if he had realized Wolf had a feeling they wouldn't be chatting amiably at a party thrown by lesbians. Although, and Wolf knew this well, some of the most homophobic men made an exception for lesbians.
