“I’m already really happy,” Eisen shrugged, the last comment resonating in his head. “Rory, though, I feel like he’s hiding a lot. I feel like he’s a lot sadder than he lets off a lot of the time, you know? And a part of me feels like this might help with that…” he explained his thought process. “If it works, anyway.”
When Lexie hugged him, he smiled sweetly and hugged her back. Her question had him grinning a little bit more and he kissed her on the cheek. “I don’t know,” he mused. “I think you bring it out of me, to be honest…” he told her, sliding his fingers through her hair, with a smile still securely plastered on his face. He really couldn’t wait to tell Rory that she’d agreed to do this. If it worked, if it lasted, it really would be the best gift he’d ever gotten. “What about you, hm? You’re definitely quite the loving one, too.”
