Of course it was strange. How could it not be strange by any stretch of the imagination? Apparently she and Seth weren't the only ones who could do extraordinary things. Francis could heal people? And Dietre could do something...something that had killed his parents? Christine really didn't know what to say, and so she just sat there in silence. It was probably best, because there was likely much more that she needed to hear.
Their strange abilities weren't of coincidence. They were the result of something that had been done to them. An experiment. The shock only mounted, and she really thought that she couldn't speak even if she thought of something to say. She'd been volunteered for an experiment? By who? She didn't believe that her parents would do that. Not to their own child. As if that wasn't already bad enough, there was the thought that the younger than them on the island were also part of the experiment. She didn't respond to any of it. Not even with Seth took her hand and gave it a squeeze. There was more?
It had to do with Francis. He helped the people who ran the experiment. All of it was just too much to take in. All of the information was entirely heavy. It felt like it was weighing her down. "...so, we're not the only ones? Everyone can do strange things? Like...everyone?" She named off a few random names, though the one that would stick out the most for Seth would likely be Macy. Christine wasn't thinking about it so much, so she didn't think about what might come around in the way of emotional reactions from Seth.
Another question came up in her mind, though it took her a moment to form the words into a sentence. "...if you both knew about this...why didn't you or Francis tell me before?"
