In Rory's experience, nothing was ever simple. Even if it looked simple, whatever it was was probably just something complex in disguise. Perhaps it wasn't the best way of seeing the world, but at this point it was all Rory had. Settling his back against Eisen's shoulder, Rory shook his head a little. "It's okay Eisen. It's my own fault for mishandling the situation, and I don't want to guilt trip her into staying my friend if it's just going to hurt her." His voice became pensive and a little quieter. "Look at this from her perspective. Remember how hard it was to be friends with Lexie before you were dating her? You know firsthand how hard it is to be friends with someone you're crazy for. I saw how much it hurt you and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Especially not Fiona."
He was silent for a few minutes before responding to Eisen's second statement and when he spoke again the pensiveness still hung heavy in his voice, although he did manage a weak chuckle first. "I hope you're right, E. I really hope you're right."
