Jacen nodded about his bike. Even if he wanted to worry about his bike, it was small potatoes at this point. He was just exhausted from the whole thing, and he wasn't even sure he would have enough energy to eat, though he did feel a bit hungry. As he made his way into the guest bedroom, he found that everything was ready for him. How could a family other than his own show him more kindness than his own family? Was it because his own family had to put up with him and the Bailey's didn't? Well, he would soon find out.
He took a seat at the edge of the bed and looked around the room, memorizing everything naturally. "Yeah, I'm a little hungry, but I don't know if I can eat at this time of night. Might not sleep." Though hyperactive or not, Jacen felt like he could sleep like a rock tonight. Judging by Ben's face, Jacen figured he was waiting for some sort of explanation. And hell, he deserved one more than anyone did at this point. So, Jacen did his best to summarize in his head.
"I told Josie that I liked Annie. I hadn't told anyone before then. She just.... blew up." Jacen frowned, reliving those words over and over again. "Disowned me pretty much and said she would never forgive me. Apparently, she thinks Annie hates her. I can't imagine why, especially with her sour attitude about everyone." He sighed and brushed back his hair. He was sure it was a sweaty mess, but Ben wouldn't care.
