Who: Mari and David.
What: Chinese food delivery! Also muscle pads!
Where: David's place.
When: Saturday after this.
Rating: TBA
Mari wasn't the type of person to judge. Of course, she had heard all about David and his past, but who hadn't? Did that mean he was a bad person? Not necessarily. Perhaps he had made all the wrong choices, and he was perfectly human enough to do that. Besides, didn't everyone deserve a second chance? She knew that she would have very much liked a second chance to see her father again if only just to tell him all of the things she couldn't remember before he passed. Regrets. Everyone had them. Some larger than others.
But fortunately, Mari was also not the type of person who allowed regrets to get the way of anything. She pushed forward no matter what, and she somehow got through it, if only after a few tears here and there. Today was no exception. Mari was not afraid nor put off by David or his past. She felt bad about the whole Lexie situation, but she also knew herself well. She knew better than to get herself in a situation she couldn't handle. And it wasn't to say that Lexie did, but Mari was confident that no matter what happened, she would always remain true to herself.
After packing the muscle pads, she headed out to pick up the Chinese she had ordered after David decided on what he wanted. The drive helped her clear her mind, and she found herself at his place in almost no time. She was let in almost immediately after she called up, and with a grin, she walked through the lobby and into the elevator, waving at anyone who passed her by. The food was smelling so good that she knew whoever got into the elevator next would surely want to go right out and grab Chinese too. Finally, she was let out on his floor and approached his door, knocking softly.
"Room service!" she called out jokingly. She only hoped he would be able to get up and answer the door. She didn't know what state he would be in exactly, though he didn't sound too bad at all.
