He looked at her a little nervously for a moment before guessing she hadn't seen anything too strange or there would likely be some sort of fuss. That or she was a lot more laid back than he was expecting and trying to avoid contact while handing it over. "Well I'm sure he's worried about you, but you seem to be doing just fine. I'm not sure what my parents are going to do when Savannah decides to move out of there. Mom's probably going to cry up a moat. Hell even I'm a little worried about May coming around before I'm ready for it." Then there were plenty of reasons for that too. "Then I've been here for about a year. I think Dad was ready to get rid of me already."
Bast laughed a little bit. "No. I don't have a tendency to sparkle in sunlight and watch people sleep. And I don't have a hole in the back room to toss you in and send you lotion down in a hand basket occasionally. Nor are there any hearts behind the Hagen Daz. Nor anything strawberry, but that's more of an allergy than a creeper tendency." He was talking a lot with his hands while moving back toward the living room and offering her a seat.
"So... What brings you to looking for a room mate situation?" Really he had no clue what to ask, but they seemed to be having a good conversation.
