Luke, having come back from his expedition at the other side of the studio, approached his mother with a grin on his face. It bothered him a little how serious his mother was being about this, but hopefully the big bear hug he gave her would reassure her a little. "Yeah Mom, I got that," he told her, trying to keep his tone from sounding too smug. "I was looking for the champagne. Guess you didn't bring any, though. Which is a shame." He pulled back from the hug and looked up at her a little guiltily. "Not that I'd drink any!"
He shifted his weight a little, then looked up at her seriously, his joking tone thrown by the wayside for a moment. "You're not really upset about this, are you? I'm certainly not." He thought for a minute, then said uncertainly, "...we're keeping the house, right?"
