"Well, I'm Cuban. We tend to be a little over the top some times," she joked and graciously accepted her ice water. "It's really jumping in here today. I don't know how you do it. I'd confuse all orders so fast I wouldn't even last a day." It also didn't help much that she had no idea what liquors to mix to make certain drinks. Alcohol had never peeked her interest. She just didn't care for the stuff really.
Picking out a lemon wedge and pressing it up against the side of the glass, she took her straw in between two fingers and swirled it around. "Yeah, I haven't been able to go to school or work in days. I mean, it's nice to have a sort of extended vacation, but I'm kind of eager to get back to my midgets." She smiled to herself thinking about her little first graders, how they draw pictures for her and dedicate coloring pages to her.
"It's a lot of work," she admitted, taking a sip of her water, "But I really love it."
