"That's what I'm here for," Savannah answered cheerfully as she went about trying to cool her own. Her own marshmallows were fast shrinking in the hot, dark brew, disintegrating into small trails of white soon lost in the chocolate. She took a cautious sip.
When he mentioned her usual predisposition, Savannah couldn't help the splash of color that rose to her cheeks. Although friendly and open with most, Savannah had a terrible shy streak that tried to assert itself time and again. With boys, it seemed, it was all that much more likely to rear its ugly head.
"I'm not against snowball fights," she started, dark eyes studying the swirl of marshmallow in her cup. Her eyes darted towards him, mostly hidden beneath her delicate lashes as she replied. "I just need someone to encourage me to be a little crazy and step out of my box."
That was why Bobby and Savannah were such good friends: Bobby dragged Savannah out of her box...and Savannah kept Bobby from going a little too far.
"Thank you for having it," she added after another small sip. "I really did have a lot of fun."
