Lulu's tastes were less-than-standard. Sure, the Conroy-Bradstreet family was normal enough insofar as there were lasagna noodles and rice to unpack, but the presence of strange spices and vegetables indicated that perhaps typical "American" cuisine wasn't all that their family ate. Lulu had always been an adventurous eater and was a firm believe in the "try anything once" school of thought and had attempted to extend the same philosophy to her boys. She was putting the escargot in the freezer when Mao jumped up to give Wolf his "reward," and chuckled at the gesture.
Reaching in the last grocery bag, she tossed her son the wasabi peas she'd bought. "Dinner will take a while, but you can snack on those in the meantime," she signed to him. "Tonight we're going to pay a visit to Ecuador. I'm making popcorn soup."
