Ugh. It was his worst case scenario. Mrs. Fox really was planning on talking to Luke about him. God, how awkward was that going to be? He could only hope Luke didn't freak out about it, but, knowing Luke, he probably was. Just great. Mao almost thought that talking about hand jobs would go over better than how Luke felt about him. It was that squishy, fluffy feeling shit that really terrifies those scared of commitment slutty types. "...Shit."
Mao appreciated Lulu's attempt at sympathy and comfort. He nodded glumy, knowing she meant well but Mao didn't quite agree with that whole 'the truth is better' thing. Mao considered himself to have been quite truthful about how he felt about Luke, practically from the very beginning (after he had been hounded to admit to liking the boy for like weeks, of course.) It was Luke who needed a talk on being honest about one's feelings.
He allowed himself to be pulled back out of the chair. It was harder to be depressed when you were moving about. Mao helped a little, but he was easily distracted by being nosey about what kind of food the Conroy-Bradstreets ate. Since it was only him and Tetsuo, there was never any big grocery shopping trip put-aways like this.
Wolf wanted a reward? "I'll give you one!" Mao bounded over, jumping up to land a kiss on Wolf's cheek. A pretty bold thing to do in front of the kid's mother, but he didn't think Lulu would mind too much.
