Lulu hugged her son fiercely and kissed him on the forehead before glancing over slyly at Mao, amused by his indignation. She wasn't terribly surprised, of course, nor did she feel terribly guilty. Gossip was gossip, after all. And Lulu really did think it would sound better coming from her than it would from some other source. "Are you kidding me?" she asked, continuing to sign, and making the predetermined sarcasm motion to let Wolf in on her tone. "I'm an adult, sweetheart. I have cool adult powers that make it so whatever I say goes. So if you want dinner, you better move it or lose it."
She smirked, grabbing both boys by the hand and tugging them out of the room, letting go when they were en route to the kitchen. She turned, walking slowly backwards so she could face them as she spoke, so Wolf would understand what she was saying. "Besides," she added, "I only told Lily what she would eventually find out from someone else anyway. And I defended you while doing it." She jutted out her chin proudly and pointed at Mao. "So if anything, you owe me." She looked pointedly at her son. "And I used clever euphemisms, just like we talked about!"
