Well, then. Wolf hadn't really had any hope that Mao would take this well, but when he dropped signing altogether and began panicking and flailing, Mao was officially taking it worse than Wolf had guessed. Then again, considering all of the ridiculousness Mao had to go through concerning Luke, he supposed he could understand.
"Why would she think that?" Wolf asked, not bothering to sign, instead reaching out to grab Mao's arms to stop him flailing. "If she confronts Luke about it, he won't let her think that. If she doesn't confront Luke about it, it probably means she's not freaking out about it too much. Okay, so she doesn't like you, but who cares? Luke didn't stop being your friend before because his mom doesn't like you and he won't now." Most likely.
