The shock and concern blooming on Mao's face was enough to make Wolf feel guilty over what he'd so freely told his mother. He hadn't really been thinking about the consequences because he told Lulu just about everything and it was second-nature for him to gossip with her when she was interested, but after he'd sent the text he had realized maybe he'd just done something not so smart.
Lily Fox was awesome, and Wolf loved her as if she were part of his family, but she was different than Lulu, and Wolf wasn't exactly sure to what use the information would go. If she confronted Luke for whatever reason, it could start – Wolf thought the same words as Mao had – a shit storm.
"I told her you and Luke made out," he said, and the hesitant look on his face made it obvious there was more, "and that you complained Luke didn't give you a handjob afterward." Wolf remembered well his mothers all caps text about how Lily would die, but Wolf didn't want to make Mao piss his pants by admitting that part. "I didn't know she was going to report it word for word to Lily before I told her!" As if that made it better.
