Mao repeated Wolf's sarcastically signed laughter back at him goofily, the same way he'd echo back something someone said in a dopey voice to imply they were retarded. All in good fun though, he was just teasing, Wolf had to be used to it by now. The fun and games threatened to be over, however, when Wolf began to make his confession.
Mao's face froze, the smile fading out of it, leaving behind wide, wary eyes. Uh. Oh. He tried his best to stave off the mental panic, but the fact that Wolf felt the need to invite him over and admit to this meant he probably told his mother some stuff that was going to reflect badly on him. Like. Really badly.
"Uhm...Like...what kind of private information?" He was pretty sure Luke's mom didn't like him much to begin with, no one's mother really did, except for Wolf's. If Luke's mom confronted Luke about whatever she had been told, oh man, Mao could already imagine the shit storm. A queasy feeling started in his gut. Damnit, they had just started to become friends, like, FOR REAL friends! Something like this could totally ruin it!! Mao hadn't gotten any enraged texts from Luke yet, so he could only hope it wasn't as bad as he suspected.
