"Probably," Lulu agreed as she sat down at the table. "He's off his game." Her eyebrows quirked a little at Kenzie's quick downing of her alcohol, but she wasn't really that surprised. What else could one expect after a day being jerked around by the king of jackassery?
"Oh, it totally is." Lulu leaned forward, simpering. She really didn't care like she sounded like she was still in high school. People gossiped. It happened. And just because they weren't in high school or college or whatever didn't mean that they stopped, so why should she? First things first, though...
A soft growl of annoyance rumbled in Lulu's throat as Kenzie spoke. Bastard. Where did he get off making Kenzie's life harder? Her eyes narrowed at the final jab. "What?! still? We've been married for over a fucking decade. Not 'civilly joined' or whatever. Legally married. It's Conroy fucking Bradstreet, jackass. Get it right!" Now it was Lulu's turn to sip at the alcohol, and she had to hold herself back from drinking it all at once. "Please tell me you at least corrected him? 'Cause if you didn't I'm going over there tomorrow and making some corrections to his face." It was an empty threat, but it was still nice to think about.
