WHO: Amy and Angie Baines WHAT: Some after school gymnastics practice WHERE: The auxiliary gym at Moses Pearson WHEN: Forward-dated to Friday, after school RATING: PG-13 for cursing, I'd imagine STATUS: Incomplete
Amy had been bugged all day by the soreness in her muscles and joints. Sitting in her classes during the day, she'd tried to stretch out a little bit or rub at the sore places, like her neck or her shoulders. But it only helped so much. She really didn't get why it was happening, or why it had been happening for the past few weeks. Still, Amy just sucked it up and dealt with it, hoping that some practice after school would get her stretched out enough to actually feel better despite the bruises. She texted Angie during the last period of the day, confirming their plans to go to the gym and practice tumbling. It was a way to bond, for sure. And it had been a bit since they'd just spent some time together.
The heels of her shoes clicked on the floor, the sound echoing through the halls as she made her way to the gym. She had a leotard and shorts tucked into her bag and was quick to change in the locker room. She got there a bit earlier than Angie did, so when she came back out to the gym and didn't see her sister, Amy decided to just go ahead and start. She sat down on the floor, starting to stretch to work out the knots in her muscles. Touching her toes with her legs out in front, reaching over to her toes with her legs out to the side. Her muscles ached in protest, but she ignored it. Working it out was the only way to make it better, in her mind.
So, Amy stretched, alone in the gym, as she waited for her sister to show up.
