Nathan helped his injured companion up quickly but slow enough not to cause any further damage. He carefully pulled the kid's arm around his head to provide support to stand and placed a hand on his hip to keep him balanced. "One step at a time, alright? Nothing to it. We got all the time in the world." He was careful not to try and brush his ribs as they started to walk together. "It's almost over," he offered comfortingly. "Soon you'll get to be home and resting in bed, watching tv, playing video games.." Nathan wasn't sure how much of that stuff this kid did but he hoped that it would mean all the same thing.
As they migrated down the hall at turtle speed, Nathan couldn't stop thinking about how bad he felt for not even remembering his name. "This probably isn't situation where you would want to hear this question, but.... what's your name?" Nathan looked over to him, watching for a reaction of some sort.
