A wave of greater relief swept over Nathan. He barely knew this kid, couldn't even remember his name, but was just glad that he wasn't seriously injured. He put his hand down and stood up, "You may not feel like it right now but I think you're going to be alright." He bent over to try to, slowly and carefully, lift the boy to his feet in order to help him walk to the nurse's office. It occurred to Nathan that he could try to carry him but he thought that he should hold off on that and leave it as worst case scenario.
"I don't want to drag you so maybe we can try to get you standing and then we can walk together?"
