Jacen had gotten home from school as he usually did and hung around the house in his socks. He had made himself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and was currently watching I Love Lucy reruns in the living room. Why they were playing I Love Lucy reruns at this time of the day, Jacen didn't understand. It was strange watching something in black & white, because it was strange to think of a time when no one filmed anything in color. Ever since the beginning of the digital age, color, color and more color was all the rage.
Some part of him, however, felt comforted by the fact that back in the day, things were simple. Things were in black and white. Recently, everything had it's own particular shade of gray, and it was hard to distinguish between what was good gray and what was bad gray. As he analyzed the variations in gray on the television screen, he heard the sound of his doorbell and got up to answer. Much like on the night they had met, Jacen opened the door to his house and grinned out at her.
