Fiona looked up at him, feeling so utterly confused. She finally nodded, as if she understood that he had no intentions of forcing her. “I need to think,” she said, tucking more hair behind her eyes. “I- I’ve never done anything like this. Just… I need to think about it, what it all means,” she said, heart pounding. “I don’t want to say yes, or lead you on, just to find that my feelings are just a lingering crush,” she said. It was almost sweet, how easily she’d fallen for his little act. Fiona was truly concerned about hurting Seth’s feelings, that she would lead him on and make him believe that she felt the same way.
And in some ways, admitting that she didn’t know hurt. She was giving Seth the same answer she’d gotten from Rory, only with a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Thinking about it wouldn’t help anyone, however, and the student fully planned on making a pro and con sheet when she got home. The issue, she realized, was that she didn’t know what Seth wanted. It was all shrouded in terms of affection and no promise of anything other than those declarations. But then again, Fi didn’t think of Seth as being a hound dog- and he didn’t seem to be pursuing her for lust.
