Fiona looked up as Seth began to speak, feeling her face going a little white and panic settle into her stomach. "What's the chance that you'd believe this is a really, really big misunderstanding?" she asked, standing up slowly and wanting nothing more than to melt into the floor beneath her. She could just slide down the piping and never show her face around Seth. But Fiona knew she was in trouble- Seth could easily get her into trouble for breaking in, and she hoped to God he didn't. That would look horrible on her record.
"I just... wanted to get my journal," she admitted, shifting from foot to foot. "And didn't want to bother- well. Actually, I just wanted to get it without having to explain it," Fiona said, knowing that a lie wasn't about to help her at all. After all, she had already been caught doing one dishonest thing, why on Earth would she stack up another one? She actually felt like she was shrinking.
With Rory, she'd been able to run. It would not be so easy with Seth, who had two perfectly capable legs and more than enough stamina to take a little ballerina down. In particular one already tired from a full day of working out on stage and going through her numbers.
