"Stupid government..." Mao grumbled, glaring at the ceiling. If this really was a government thing, and it probably was, it was going to be very hard to escape. Granted, his life was pretty good here, he had some friends, a nice place to live and all that, but...just the idea that he wasn't really free to do what he wanted made him angry. It was frustrating to think he was powerless. Especially when, you know, he had a fucking power.
"Okay, so, that's like...nine so far?" He had a feeling they were probably missing a few, it had felt like so many more before he had an actual number.
Mao rolled over to give Luke a look. Why did he always have to question him!? "What? You just said you know a human magnet. What's so crazy about someone having werewolf powers?" He gestured with his hands, getting animated as he explained his theory. "I mean, think about it, his parents were like ripped apart and chewed up! I'm pretty sure we don't have packs of wild dogs running around, because, like, I woulda been eaten by now."
On the subject of vampire chicklit. "See, that's probably his thing. He looks like a vampire just to throw you off the fact he's a werewolf."
