"Clearly it's a conspiracy." Either Songbird was retarded, being hushed up, or was part of whatever had caused this craziness to begin with. Mao frowned at the suggestion the power thing was spread beyond the teenage population, and that he, of all people, would have a broad enough social net to know about it. "I don't even know any college kids. 'Cept for Mari, pretty much. You're Mr. Popularity, not me."
Tetsuo? Doing anything weird? Mao laughed. "Dude, if my brother had a power, I'd know about it." But, the more he thought about it, how much did he really know about Tetsuo? Wasn't it kind of weird that this guy he never even heard about before shows up one day to take care of him and claims to be his half brother? Mao didn't want to believe the man he came to love and look up to could be lying to him. Tetsuo was a really bad liar, and seemed to genuinely care about him.
Rather than dwell on these what-ifs Mao latched on to the task of getting writing material for Luke. He got up from his bed and fished through his desk for a beaten up notebook, handing it over along with a pencil. He then flopped onto the bed, laying on his back.
"Okay. So. There's my copy catty powers, your Jedi powers," He lifted his hands and made quotations in the air," 'somebody' has past seeing powers, 'somebody' has going through solid stuff powers, 'somebody' has seeing the future powers...uh...turning one liquid to another kind powers..." Now he had to stop and think, apparently he didn't know of as many powers as he thought he did.
"I'm pretty sure that kid with the dead parents is a werewolf."
