Mao could make fun of him all he wanted about riding his bike in December, but Luke still felt like a fucking badass every single time he rode his bike anywhere, so Luke really didn't care. He grinned and said, "Oh, you're obviously just jealous. My bike is bitchin'. You'd be showing it off too." Luke almost said "sexy" but he caught himself. The bike was sexy, to be sure, but Luke wasn't really sure he wanted to open that topic around Mao, especially not so early in the visit. It would cause awkwardness.
"And I'll have you know I cleared it with my mom first," granted, he cleared riding his bike with her every time to took it out, for fear of her freaking out on him and taking it away, but Mao didn't need to know that. "And the roads really aren't that bad. It'd suck if it gets blizzardy or something but it should be okay."
Luke wiggled out of his brand-new motorcycle gloves and neatly hung up his jacket, scarf and hat, chuckling at Mao's phrasing before he slipped out of his shoes. "Well we wouldn't want that would we?"
