Lexie's eyebrow had, indeed, gone up at his first sentiment, but she was glad that he clarified. Did... did this mean that he'd liked her even while he was with Cait? "Something different, huh?" She looked up at him calculating for a moment and then said, "Eisen, I know this is probably not a question you want me to be asking but I'm going to ask it anyway. What the hell took you so long?" Reaching up, she brushed a bit of snow from his jacket, her fingers brushing gently against his cheek before she was eased into the hug.
She held on tight, and couldn't resist the urge to nuzzle him under the chin a little, even though her hat was probably still wet with snow. "You don't have to apologize, Eisen," she said as he released her. "I understand what it's like to fight with people, believe me. I know how hard it is. But I still don't think this will last very long. With any luck, it'll all blow over in the morning."
