Eisen looked at her, a small smile creeping its way back. Funny how Lexie did that to him. He could be the saddest person on Earth, but looking at her, he’d just have to smile. He’d noticed a few times before how she always brushed her shoulder against his when they walked, but now he clung to it like a lifeline of hope, along with her words, that things would be okay. “I’ll wait too. Mind you, it won’t be happy waiting,” he chuckled a little bit. “But I’ll do it. Because you’re worth it, and then some…”
She asked about his lip and he was taken off guard for a second. He’d almost completely forgotten the circumstances which had led to their kiss. Chuckling, he brought his hand up and touched it. “Like nothing ever happened,” he said with a smile. “How’d you do that, anyway?” He kept his voice calm, and only If she gave him some kind of an opening would he tell her the truth about his own ability. It was, however, good to know that he wasn’t the only one who could do things like that. A relief, almost.
