Who: Lexie and Eisen When: Wednesday, December 29 (frontdated) What: Study session! Certainly not a date Where: Eisen’s house Rating: A for AWWWWW Status: Complete
Lexie really had no right to be so excited about a study session. It was kind of silly, really – she was just going to be reciting boring music theory terms, the same way she could’ve done at home. Except that she couldn’t have, because she was absolutely positive that somehow Eisen would make it infinitely more fun, since he always did. Grabbing her flashcards and her theory notebook, Lexie stepped out into the bitter December chill, smiling to herself as she directed her steps toward Eisen’s apartment.
It had been a really great couple of weeks. Not only had Christmas come and gone, but she was feeling better, she was safe, she was surrounded by family… she’d even been on a pretty awesome date! Finally, it felt like Lexie’s life was back on track to becoming normal again. Or… as normal as it could be, for a girl with a healing touch. There were still a few minor issues – she still had enemies and, if she appeared in Songbird again, she was pretty sure that Cait wouldn’t be particularly happy to discover that she’d been studying at Eisen’s house. Not that there was anything in it, of course. Songbird had a way of twisting everything to make it sound scandalous, but Lexie was pretty sure that even Songbird wouldn’t be able to read too much into this. Besides, Lexie was sure that people would be tired about reading about her by now. There were other people on this island to expose, and their “scandals” were sure to be much more interesting than Lexie’s anyhow.
Upon reaching his house, Lexie knocked on the door and greeted her host with a cheerful smile. Eisen always could bring a smile to her face, no matter what kind of mood she was in. Of course, it helped that right now she was happy and bubbly even without the influence of his presence, but the fact that he was there only added to her joy. “Hi Eisen!” she chirped, giving him a hug before she abandoned the cold of evening for the warmth of his apartment. Taking off her coat, Lexie revealed that she’s dresseddown for the occasion, something she’d done intentionally as yet another reminder to herself that this, like so many of their other study sessions and hanging out time, was the farthest thing from a date. Of course... it wasn’t like Cait was in the picture anymore, which honestly might’ve been why Lexie hadn’t really hung out with him much unless they were in a group (the hospital visit not withstanding) - she was always a little afraid of what she might do, given the chance. Now, however... she’d just have to control herself. Besides, she’d been on a date with Ed, and that meant something... right?
