Upon opening the door, just the look on Eisen's face was enough to make Rory's heart twist a little. The small, niggling voice in the back of his head whispered to him that really, all of this was his fault, that'd betrayed his best friend. But what was he supposed to have done? Ed was his brother after all. His family. And everyone knew that there was almost nothing that Rory wouldn't do for family. But then... wasn't Eisen practically his family? They'd grown up together and Rory could barely remember a time when they weren't the closest of friends. And Rory knew, he knew how Eisen felt about Lexie and yet he'd encouraged Ed to go after her anyway. What kind of a friend was he?
"Come on in Eisen," he breathed softly, backing away from the door on his crutches. When his friend had entered and the door had been closed behind him, Rory hobbled forward to give his friend a hug. As sweet as he was, Rory didn't usually give hugs. Sitting-down ones were easy enough, but it was impossible to hug someone from his wheelchair and it was just awkward to have them squat down so he could get his arms around them. No, no, the best hugs were from his crutches, and even they were complicated (althoug he'd long since managed to master them) and today, Rory's hug was the tightest he could give. "Come on," Rory backed away a little and started up the stairs. "Let's go talk."
