Who: Bobby and Savannah
What: talking
Where: school cafeteria
When: lunch time, today
Bobby dropped her backpack on the floor and threw herself onto one of the cafeteria chairs. They weren't very comfortable, but then again neither was anything in the school. Still, it was better than being in a stuffy old classroom, so she'd take what she could get.
Laying out the contents of her packed lunch in front of her, she grinned. She was probably one of the few people at the school who packed her lunch still. Part of it had to do with the disgusting food they served, but the other, more important part had to do with her being a professional sandwich maker (or so she liked to say). Her sandwich today was turkey and Havarti, with a bit of lettuce and tomato to round out the taste. It was her favorite, and she couldn't wait to sink in.
"Oh, hey," she said, looking up as her friend slid into a seat at the table. "Good. I was just about to make myself a drink." She laughed, unscrewed the cap of her juice bottle and stuck her pinky in. There was no change in color-- she'd mastered the colors of different drinks by then and could usually pick a juice that was pretty close-- but there would be a distinct change in taste. "Wine today. Yum. Want something?"
