Rory chuckled a little. "I did say most people." Rory was particularly sensitive to stereotypes and generalizations, which is why he did his best not to make them, no matter how basic they seemed. Short of "all people eat, sleep and generally prefer to have shelter," he made it a point to stay away from big, sweeping claims. Part of it was being an English major and part of it was being in a miniority himself.
"Yeah..." Rory answered thougtfully, stroking his chin. "Maybe. Maybe you're like Clarence from It's a Wonderful Life. You've come to me in a dream so you can... I don't know. Teach me valuable life-lessons or something." Okay, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration - unlike George Bailey, Rory wasn't so desperate as to think about suicide. But still, the principle remained the same, and it was sort of a weird way of complimenting Mal, comparing her to an angel (even a greenhorn angel).
