Lexie just barely suppressed a derisive laugh. Ridiculous. Cait was an intern. Honestly, that was Lexie's saving grace - at the end of the day, she was sure that it would be Dr. Evans, not Cait, who would be signing off on Lexie's sanity, and it was that fact alone that was keeping Lexie in check. She really wasn't the type to lose her temper under many circumstances, but Cait was just.... really good at making her defensive.
"Well..." actually, a lot of kind of traumatic things had been happening to her recently, but they weren't the kind that she was particularly thrilled to be sharing with Cait. "I guess the worst thing is that my arm started twitching so I couldn't play the flute," she said. "That's pretty traumatic for a music major. I'm pretty sure that's why I fell. The right side of my body jerked and I lost my balance." Good. There was a good, factual explanation that didn't mean she was crazy. Cait could leave now.
