Cait tucked the folder away and crossed her arms over her chest. Although she had no reason to be on defense, she hated feeling uncomfortable. Eisen was one of the few people in town who could put her on edge. It was apparent in her demeanor and the sour look she now had on her face. "Hello, Eisen."
Her gaze dropped to the floor and she tried to count how many tiles were in her immediate area. If she could keep this up for the remainder of their unfortunate chance meeting, then she'd be okay. "Are you sick or something?" He looked fine, from what she gathered with a single, quick glance up before resuming her previous activity. 10, 11, 12...
Of course, through her logical thinking, she figured it was way more likely that he was visiting someone. Given the floor and the proximity to Lexie's room, it was probable that he'd just been to see her. The thought made her blood boil. Though she hadn't been with Eisen for the greater part of two years, the idea that he was going to see her of all people really pissed her off. There had been times when they were in the 'off again' part of their relationship that Cait swore up and down that Lexie was sniffing around. It just figured that that was who he was there to see now.
