He walked up to her bed again, leaning down to hug her softly. “That’s good to know,” he chuckled. “Though I probably won’t have a barrage of presents with me every single time I see you, so I hope that’s okay,” he joked, grinning as he pulled back from the hug.
“Definitely. Just let me know beforehand so that I can shop for groceries that don’t make me look like the lazy slob I am,” he joked as he slung his bag over his shoulder. “I’ll see you soon, Lex. Really soon,” he reassured her subtly as he made his way out of the room.
