Eisen hardly needed to apologize. The touches were unexpected, but they certainly weren't unappreciated. The only trouble was how they were making her pulse uneven and her palms sweat, and causing that tightness in her chest that she'd previously grown accustomed to associating with David. She would've eased his mind on this point if her arm hadn't flailed and ruined everything. ... Then again, if her arm hadn't flailed they might be in a slightly different situation right now, but Lexie didn't want to think about that.
