“I’d say I was a starving college kid, too, but I never starve because I always make sure I have food before everything else,” Eisen chuckled a little bit and smiled at her. “Starve no more, fair Miss Tibbits, for you have another broke college kid to feed you!” He did his best superhero pose and then smirked at her.
He smirked a little more when she laughed, eternally glad to have brought her a little light in a miserable situation. She deserved it. “I’m so honored! I won’t let this opportunity pass me by,” he spoke with a teasing eagerness. Leaning sideways in the chair, he made sure that the bag was within reach so that he could grab the cupcake easily when the time came. “I’ll tell you what. The studying and my cooking for you the next time can sort of correlate,” he suggested. “I’ll reward you for awesome study time by making you an awesome dinner.”
He chuckled and shrugged. “It turned out to be important, didn’t it?” he asked, pointing to the CD and grinning triumphantly. “I like to log little things like that away for future use. Christmas and birthday presents, and just random little nice things.”
