"I wouldn't dream of it!" Lexie promised. "And have I every told you that you're a fantastic cook?" She took a few more mouthfuls. "I think I could eat this stuff forever and not get tired of it." Okay, maybe that was a little untrue, but she'd been eating hospital food for a few days now and now that she no longer lived with her parents, she didn't have their home-cooking to fall back on.
Lexie sighed. Her parents and Eisen were probably right, but at least studying would've made her feel productive. Being cooped up in a hospital room not being able to do anything was already starting to make her feel lazy, and she didn't like that one bit. Especially while finals were happening. "I guess," she conceded. "But at least I won't die of finals stress now. They're giving me extensions for having medical issues." She turned her eyes down. "The irony is that I was just coming from getting an extension on my jury when I fell down the stairs."
Accepting the CD from Eisen, Lexie gasped. "Oh Eisen!" She read over the tracks, her lips curling up in a smile. "How did you know I liked these people? No one knows Old Blind Dog and LĂșnasa!"
