After a quiet moment of silent smiling and looking at the table awkwardly, Mal turned her eyes back up to look at Ed. “Don’t shoot yourself in the foot, you know?” she pushed some of her hair behind her ear and shrugged a shoulder. “And if you need a study buddy, you can ask me. Granted I’m not exactly the smartest girl in town, I’m pretty okay at keeping on task when there’s something important to do,” she offered. That and spending more time with him would just be a bonus, but she felt no need to say that aloud.
“You’re too sweet,” she felt her cheeks burning again and smoothed a hand through her hair, chuckling awkwardly. “So, are you all done for the day? Like, no more classes? Is that why you’re spending your time here flattering me shamelessly? Not that I mind,” she added, a smirk still firmly placed on her face.
