WHO: Eisen and Mari WHAT: Eisen is studying being lazy. The sky is also blue. Except this time, Mari catches him. WHERE: I’m thinking the library. WHEN: Forward dated to 12/06, because there is no way that Eisen would ever be in the library on a Sunday. Ever. RATING: Probably not terribly high. STATUS: Incomplete
Focus was not his friend. Not that this was anything new. At least he’d made it past the chapter he’d been reading last week, but really, it was sort of pointless to sit here and re-read something that he probably already knew better than the professor. He flipped back to the page prior for about the fifteenth time in the past ten minutes and started to read – okay, read was generous, more like skim – again.
It would help if this wasn’t terribly boring, he thought as he closed the book finally, leaned back in his chair and flipped the song around on his iPod a couple of times.
One of those days where he really didn’t want to leave his apartment. Really. But somehow, he’d deluded himself into thinking that studying in the library would meet him with more success than just sitting at home with a book. Right then, about the only thing keeping him from going home and wasting the day on the XBOX or something far more productive, was the fact that it was dusting snow outside and just plain cold. “It’s like they planned it this way,” he mumbled to himself, “put finals at the time of year with the worst possible weather so once you get inside, you’re stuck there with nothing to do but study. Bastards.”
