Laney made a look at him when he pointed out the obvious. In her haste to exit the house, she'd forgotten gloves and a scarf. And despite running there, she was painfully aware just how chilling that wind was. "No shit," she said, stepping past him into his house. "What's up?"
Once the door was good and shut, she made her way to his living room. They weren't nearly as close friends as her and Alfie, or even her and Glory were at one point, but Laney never really felt uncomfortable. Slumping down on the sofa as if she'd been there a million times and thus, sat there a million times, she looked up at him.
