"Oooh I finally get to see what you were hiding from me in your bag?" Luke approached the bed curiously and sat down on it next to Lizzie to receive his present. "You didn't have to get me a present, Lizzie. You know that, right? Not that I don't appreciate it, but you are clearly going above and beyond the call of duty here."
He was touched by the hand-drawn wrapping paper, and he unwrapped the box very carefully so as not to rip it. He'd put it in his special drawer with his treasures. Interestingly, many of these treasures were other bits of art that Lizzie had given him in the past. Not that she knew that.
Opening the box, Luke's eyes widened. "LIZZIE!" He threw his arms around his friend and hugged her close. "You are the best friend in the galaxy," he said sincerely, holding her perhaps a few more seconds than he should've before letting her go to draw the toy lightsaber out of its box an swish it in the air in a very Jedi-like fashion. "This will be the perfect placeholder until my real one arrives by post from the Jedi Council."
