Lizzie laughed as Luke danced, leaning back on her elbows and watching carefully. It really was a silly looking dance, but that didn't matter, the mere fact that he was dancing like that in front of her made her feel special. She smiled, actually enjoying herself and this weird dorky game they were playing. Lizzie knew and adored the dorky guy he was and always had been, even if she'd seen him act differently around other people. This Luke was her favourite Luke.
She clapped her hands when the case bounced off Luke's back without touching him and she was even more ridiculously proud of him. That was three for three.
"Three for three," she said when his dancing had finally stopped and her cheeks hurt from laughing. "Guess you get your incentive prize now..." She reached into her bag and pulled out the box that contained the present she'd bought for him. She wet her lower lip and held it out to him. "I'm a girl of my promises."
The box was wrapped in plain paper that she'd decorated herself with pictures of R2-D2, C3PO and Jawas.
"Saw this and thought of you." She'd seen it online, had it delivered, but it was the same kind of principle. She'd had to clear it with her mom.
