Challenges and satisfaction made education worthwhile. Everybody knew that. And learning the old fashioned way was fun. At least...Tetsuo thought that it was. But that might just have been because he loved reading and science much more than the average person. That much was more than evident. But that was beside the point by then.
He recognized that tone of voice. And maybe he had said something to that effect about a thousand times before, but that was because it was important. Not as important, however, as what else he'd been wanting to talk to Mao about. The underage drinking and whatnot.
He hadn't gotten the chance to bring up the counter-point when Mao said that he wasn't the only one who partied. "A little weed?" He'd beg to differ...not that he'd been there. "Regardless, it's still not at all a good think. You are underage, for one. And neither alcohol or drugs are good for you. It doesn't matter if it was your birthday or not."
Tetsuo took a moment. "You cannot honestly blame me for finding something wrong when you come home drunk and high?"
