WHO: Christine and Seth WHAT: She's handing out candy after being attacked by Layla and Seth stops by WHERE: The Fan house WHEN: Backdated to Halloween (early evening, maybe?) RATING: PG, I'm guessing STATUS: Complete
Never in a million years had Christine imagined that she would have rhinestones glued to her face. And yet it had happened. She'd been bedazzled and she didn't like it. It felt so strange to move her face in any way because the rhinestones moved as well. And occasionally they itched. The best she could do to cope, though, was fan her face and occasionally poke at the crystal in question. She would have taken them all off, but she had absolutely no clue where Layla had put the solvent for the derma-glue. With a defeated sigh (one of many that had passed her lips that evening) she fully resigned herself to her sparkly state for Halloween. A snowflake? Christine still wondered how in the world Layla had come up with it. And where had she gotten the costume? It was a mystery. Just like the reason Christine had even allowed Layla to tackle her and force her into the costume in the first place.
She felt overly made-up and admittedly rather cold (that skirt barely reached mid-thigh!), but there was no helping that. At home for the evening, she got the candy and things ready for the kids coming around for trick-or-treat. The rest of her siblings had all had plans to go out, but Christine had nothing of the sort going on. And she didn't want to have her parents bothered with answering the door every ten seconds for the kids coming around, so she volunteered her free evening to the cause. When the doorbell rang for the first time, she knew that it was the beginning of the chain. Still, she went to the door with the big bowl of candy, smiling down at the little witches and superheroes and ghosts and such that held out their trick-or-treat bags with eager faces.
It was the older kids, namely the boys, that were a bit too eager. It was odd to see twelve and thirteen year old boys stopping in the middle of saying 'Trick or treat' to stare at her in her sexy snowflake attire. She promptly dropped the candy into their bags and said goodbye, if only for the sake of getting the door closed and not having them stare. It was just so...strange! Christine was the farthest thing from sexy! She always had been. So to be gawked at like that was definitely not normal.
The next time the doorbell rang, she got up from the couch where she'd been watching some scary movie or another that was on TV. The heels of her shoes clicked on the hardwood floor as she went to the door, the candy bowl balanced against her hip. She opened the door, fully prepared to hear 'Trick or treat' again. But that didn't come. No, it was Seth. Seth dressed like Indiana Jones. Completely unbidden, she felt a bit of a blush come to her face because she could only imagine what he might say about her costume.
"Oh...Seth...what are you doing here?" Shouldn't he have been out flirting with every girl wearing a sexy (or slutty) Halloween costume and charming them out of their barely there skirts?
