Even though Emily fought against Leti's words about there being a chance the idea did make it's way into the back of her mind. And maybe one day it would totally convince her not to give up on love, but not today.
"True, and I can't imagine being able to grow beautiful plants like this to ever be scary," Emily cautiously reached out to touch the petals of the wild flowers. They were very real and smelled wonderful. Singing helps her concentrate? Maybe once she started taking lessons she could see if that could help control hers better. Focusing on a song rather than an emotion.
Emily watched in slight shock when the stems began to grow and the petals fell. The vines started to grow thorns and she glanced down to one almost encircling her leg, but Leti stopped it just in time.
"I see, well at least it was just your house. But I guess there is a downside to every power, right?" Emily noticed Irulan fast asleep in her arms. "Thanks again for everything Leti and we need to get together hang out and maybe get to work on my song for Evan. Irulan needs to take her nap and I have to do schoolwork, pre-calculus, ew." She leaned in and gave Leti a one armed hug, "Let me know when you're free. See you later." Emily then turned and made her way home.
