"Well you didn't get damaged besides me breaking the seal of your first kiss...so you'll always remember me for taking that from you...without asking...I should have asked. If I had just asked if you wanted me to kiss you we could have avoided all this," Carter turned to his locker and started gently banging his head on it, "I'm so stupid, stupid, stupid."
Although he was still facing the locker he gave a little smile when she said they were still friends, "Really," he turned back to face her and saw that smile. Now Carter was horribly oblivious most of the time, but that smile of Glory's, he could tell it wasn't genuine. The smile didn't reach her eyes. But he didn't want to push it at the moment. Carter merely let his bag drop and wrapped his arms around her in a hug. Now he knew he probably shouldn't have done that considering the awkwardness, but he just wanted her to know how grateful he was.
"Thanks Glory," he whispered to her, "I wouldn't want to ruin what we have." He pulled back and gave her a wide smile, "Well, I'm keeping you from practice, I'll see you later." Carter turned and made his way out of the building trying not to let the blush, from seeing Glory in that cheerleading outfit again, break onto his face until he was safely outside.
