Calvin smiled back. He didn't konw Mia very well, but she was nice enough. And besides, no one deserved to be left out in the rain without an umbrella. Except maybe James, but that was enough thing entirely. "I was at the library. You know. Studying. I've got a paper due on Monday." He shifted a little. He sounded like such a nerd. Then again, that was who he was, and everyone kept telling him not to be ashamed of it. "You? Shopping?"
He looked across the street and shrugged lightly. "Sure." It wasn't like he was doing anything else, and it would be a shame for Mia to have walked into town and not be able to accomplish whatever mission she'd come out to do. He stayed in step with her as they crossed the street, making sure that she stayed try until they'd reached the shop and could stand under the awning.
