Who: Evan and Natalie
What: drunk dial!
When: tonight
Where: Evan is in a cab, Natalie is home
Rated: lowish
COMPLETE!
Natalie: "Hello?"
Evan: "Hi, Natalieee?"
Natalie: "...Evan?"
Evan: "Yep! Hi, what are you doing? I'm in a cab."
Natalie: "Just doing some reading for classes... Why are you in a cab?"
Evan: "Cause I can't drive my car, duh. And because it's free at the bar to pay for a cab for you home. They don't want me walking into a ditch I guess."
Natalie: "Evan... are you drunk?"
Evan: "Nooooooooo." He is heard giggling, then, "Yes."
Natalie: "It's Monday, Ev."
Evan: "It's Columbus Day! I was celebrating the destruction of Native Americans for European profit! Why are you studying? It's a holiday."
Natalie: "Because I have class tomorrow. Was David there with you, at least?"
Evan: "Yes. He was there. Who do you think called me a cab, silly."
Natalie: "Right... Are you okay and everything, then?"
Evan: "No. I'm not okay. Why'd you just leave the other day? After eating? I cooked you breakfast."
Natalie: "You did. It was really nice, too. I didn't think you really wanted me to stay."
Evan: "Of course I wanted you to stay! I think you're so pretty and I really like you. Man, I messed things up. I'm such a fucking idiot. You hate me now."
Natalie: "I don't hate you, Evan. Come on."
Evan: "You do, and with good reason. I called you a dirty whore. You're not a dirty whore. You're really, really hot."
Natalie: She laughed softly. "Uh. Thanks. But I don't hate you, okay? I was really mad for a while, but you apologized."
Evan: "Yeah? You sure? Cause I miss you. Alot. I really want to kiss you too. I'm going crazy though. I see things. Things that didn't happen."
Natalie: "Yeah, I'm sure." A pause. "You've been seeing other stuff?"
Evan: "No, not really. Well sort of. Like...it snowed last week. I didn't tell anyone about that though. Mostly, just that and you and David, though."
Natalie: "You saw snow last week?"
Evan: "Yeah. It was really pretty, but it didn't happen. Do you think I'm weird?"
Natalie: "Well, I wouldn't say weird, no..."
Evan: "You know, Emily can make it snow in the summer. Maybe I should ask her if she did it?"
Natalie: A weak laugh. "Emily makes it snow, huh?"
Evan: "She can make it do anything. Apparently she literally controls the weather. Funny, right?"
Natalie: "Sounds like a pretty handy tool to have."
Evan: "She gets sloppy with it. Her feelings control it more than she does."
Natalie: "Her... emotions, huh?"
Evan: "Yeah, whatever you want to call them. You must think our family is so weird.... No, take a left here, thanks.... I wish I wasn't crazy. Cause then you'd want to be my girlfriend."
Natalie: "...I never said you were crazy, Evan."
Evan: "I am crazy."
Natalie: "Maybe it's not the best time to be having this conversation? You sound pretty... well, drunk."
Evan: "Yeah. I had a few scotches. I'm almost home anyways. It would be weird to talk to you when I'm next door."
Natalie: "You sure you're okay?"
Evan: "I'll live, but thank you for your concern!"
Natalie: Another laugh. "Alright. Well, I'm next door if you need anything, okay?"
Evan: "I need a bath, if you want to come help me get undressed."
Natalie: "Goodnight, Evan."
Evan: "Night, babe."
