Detention...again. Why couldn't she just focus. She knew at this rate she'd never get that study period next semester so she could either leave early or wake up later. It's not her fault that her teachers' were boring, that's their own fault. Maybe they should try other techniques that didn't bore everyone. Exactly. But at least it was over and...now what?
She glanced out at the track and gave a sad little sigh...she missed track. Now Josie knew she did the right thing quitting, since she discovered her power she knew it wasn't fair. Also when she won she no longer felt that swell of pride. She missed that and really wished she could find something else that she was really good at. Her and her alone. Jacen had his academics and she had track and now...she didn't have anything. A thought came to her...what was the harm...no one was around. A grin spread on her face and she hurried into the locker room to change into her gym clothes. A good run was exactly what she needed to clear her head.
Once she locked her things up in the locker she made her way out to the track. Josie did a few stretches and went to start her run when she heard a very load creak. She turned towards the sound and saw some bleachers almost fall onto someone. She opened her mouth to shout out, but suddenly the person seemed to catch them...and hold them up...with one hand.
Josie's jaw dropped and she couldn't stop herself as she walked over. Someone else...someone else could do something like her. Now she knew Jacen had powers, but his was all mental and not very obvious like her's, but this person...his was very obvious. She saw the boy turned around to face her and she looked from the bleachers to him and back several times.
